Some details are required before you can successfully link certain marketplaces to your Foxtail account. This article explains what is necessary.

The Foxtail app will show the warning “Setup required” if you need to add details to a marketplace prior to linking.

If you try to link an account before entering all the required details you will see the following error message:

Error: We have detected your account is not properly setup for listing.

Once you add the necessary account details to a marketplace, you will be able to link that account to Foxtail. Read below to learn about the requirements for linking your accounts.

To link your Depop account to Foxtail, you will need a Selling Hub account. Begin by going to Depop and choose Sell now.

Follow the Depop onboarding flow. Depop will guide you through creating your first listing in their onboarding process as a part of the Selling Hub account setup. You can choose to create a real listing or one you delete later in order to list everything with Foxtail.

You must have a saved Shipping Address on file to connect. To check, log into Depop on the Depop app or browser. Tap "Sell Now, and scroll down to the Shipping area to see if something is populated under "Select an address." If you, you should have not trouble connecting.

After connecting your eBay account, you will be prompted to enter an inventory location. This location is the physical address of your inventory and is used by eBay to calculate shipping.

When connecting to eBay, a new shipping policy is automatically created for use with the Foxtail app. Double-check this policy to make sure you are satisfied with the default options. You can learn more about adjusting eBay's business and shipping policies in this article.

Soon you will have the option of using your own shipping policies.

To link your Etsy account to Foxtail, you will need a seller account and at least one listed item.

Begin by creating an Esty seller account on their website and follow their onboarding flow. Etsy will guide you through creating your first listing in their onboarding process as a part of seller account setup. You can choose to create a real listing or one you delete later in order to list everything with Foxtail.

Once your Etsy profile has been created, head to:

Account Settings → Settings → Shipping Settings → Create Profile

Create at least one shipping profile to enable a Foxtail connection.

To link your Mercari account to Foxtail you will need a seller account. Head to the sign up link on their website and follow their onboarding flow. They will guide you through posting your first item to ensure your account is set up properly.

Once your Mercari seller account profile has been created, head to:

Profile → Settings → My addresses.

Add at least one address to enable linking to Foxtail.

A saved credit card payment method is also required before you can link Mercari to Foxtail. Alternative methods like Apple Pay or Venmo will not work here. You can update your payment methods to add a credit card by going to:

Profile → Settings → My payment methods
